The GEH50R of the new InfiRay Gemini product range is literally a “milk milk legend”. The binocular unites one thermal imaging device , and a Night vision device under one hood. The observation glass can also be used during the day. On top of that, an LRF was also installed.
With both technologies - thermal and residual light, the performance is in the upper class of both worlds. The thermal image sensor works with a VOx chip at 640 x 512 pixels and the low-light amplifier even has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels in Full HD.
The thermal image sensor can detect the finest temperature differences. The sensitivity of less than 25 microkelvin allows for a wide range of uses. Not only are heat sources such as houses or living creatures clearly shown, observations in the natural environment such as the dense undergrowth can also be helpful, as branches or stalks are clearly identified.
In night vision mode, the environment is displayed at 1920 x 1080 pixels, which corresponds to a full HD resolution.
The built-in LRF (Laser rangefinders) can measure objects up to 1,2 km away with a tolerance of just one meter.
Not only are the functions diverse, but also in terms of things Facilities iRay doesn't have to mince words. Equipped with picture-in-picture, this can display a separate window in which you can observe a detailed view. The color palette of thermal imaging observation is possible in 5 different modes, always matching the ambient temperature and vegetation. Hotspot tracking can automatically tag and follow an animal or human.
A pair of VCR with a whopping 64 gigabytes of memory is on board as well as the possibility of setting up a WiFi hotspot in order to be able to stream the observation on 4 other devices such as a tablet or smartphone.
The running time is approx 6h, the power is supplied by 2 x 18650 lithium ion batteries. Of course, a power bank can also be used at the USB port.
