The new top model is a dual use capable thermal device that can be used for both woods & forest as well as for the hunting is ideally suited for use in the field.
The VOx thermal imaging sensor has a resolution of 640 512 x pixels with a pixel size of 12 microns. This makes the Merlin 50 one of the most powerful models, especially when you consider the compact and lightweight device.
The lens is 50 mm large, resulting in a wide field of view of over 15 meters possible, the detection range is also up to 2,5 km. Long-distance observations are therefore the strengths of the thermal imaging device.
The built-in monitor is not only high-resolution, it also consists of a OLEDpanel that can reproduce colors particularly vividly and true to color. Dark areas are really dark and don't shimmer gray like LCD panels do. The battery life also benefits from the energy-saving technology.
Using an adapter, the handset can also be used as a attachment be mounted on a daylight lens such as a scope, you will find the right adapter here.
The device is powered by 4 lithium ions Batteries operated, depending on use, a battery charge lasts for about 4h operational. There is also the option to connect an extender battery, you can find it here here.
