The new edition of the Axion thermal observation devices have been upgraded on the hardware and software side and at a better price. A striking feature of the model series is the compact and lightweight design, which enables particularly flexible use. The Pro version is equipped with an even more sensitive temperature sensor.

The sensitivity of less than 25 microkelvin detects even the smallest temperature differences emitted by a heat source. This could be a simple blade of grass or the bones of a wild animal, allowing for precise and rapid detection. The temperature sensitivity can be increased in 3 stages, plus image optimization such as anti-aliasing and adjustable contrast and brightness values. In this way, heat sources can be observed qualitatively well in a wide variety of weather conditions.

The Housing consists of a magnesium alloy, which has the advantage that it is light in weight and yet extremely robust and torsion-resistant. The material property also optimally dissipates the heat from the electronics. The IPX7 protection class confirms the water resistance that could come from rain, snow, fog and all other humidity. The Axion 2 thermal imaging camera even survives a fall into the water without damage.
