Monocular version

Make good things even better. Pulsar has this approach with the new Helion 2 XQ consistently pursued and made many useful improvements and added many details.

As with the predecessor of the popular XQ series, the mono eyepiece is again aimed at demanding users high demandswho are also looking for good value for money.

The manufacturer has specifically optimized both the housing and lens as well as the handling. For example, it is now possible to use the arrow keys to switch even faster between the different observation modes.

But also the new Germanium lens with its high-speed F1.0 lens enables a further improved detection of heat sources. The new and more sensitive 17 μm sensor can now reliably detect even lower temperature differences of <40mK.

As a result, even the smallest changes in heat can be displayed very precisely. The result is even sharper and more precise detail representations as well as a visibly better image.

With a resolution of 384 x 288 pixels the device offers an effective detection range of up to 1350 meters and is therefore suitable for many usage situations. Objects can be easily identified and tracked even when they are moving.

So that the many details and information of the sensor are clearly recognizable, Pulsar has a high-quality and full-color HD AMOLED display with a resolution 1024 x 768 pixels installed. This scores with very good contrast values and high-resolution thermal images. Of course, all images are in a liquid 50 Hz frequency reproduced.

The integrated IMAGE BOOST function allows a hitherto unknown optimization of the images with the help of a well thought-out algorithm. Even in poor weather conditions, particularly clear and detailed images can be achieved.

With the variable magnification function, objects can be recognized accurately even at a long distance. thanks to the eight different color palettes a perfect customization of the display to the respective observation situation is guaranteed.

The thoughtful and new user interface has been further developed thanks to the many useful suggestions from the community. It now offers a variety of useful information and makes the application even easier.

the so-called PIP function (Picture-in-Picture) allows the enlarged image to be displayed centered over the main image in a separate window, making it easier to track objects.

The stadiametric rangefinder with visualized scale allows a very fast distance recognition thanks to the three predefined observation sizes (deer 170 cm, wild boar 70 cm and hare 30 cm).

The impact-resistant housing consists of a special magnesium alloy, at the same time it is particularly light and easily defies severe climatic and mechanical external influences. In addition, the device offers a after the strict IPX 7 protection class certified water resistance.

You cannot control the weather. With the Helion 2, you don't have to either. In addition to its high water resistance, the mono eyepiece easily defies a very wide Temperature range from - 25 ° C to 50 ° C and is therefore prepared for every season.

Thanks to the integrated Video and photo function all special situations and moments can be easily recorded from now on. An internal 16 GB memory allows the recording of numerous image situations.

Using the built-in Wifi function A problem-free connection with all common Android and IOS devices is possible. Recordings can be easily shared and streamed, and firmware updates can be installed.

The external IPS7 and IPS 14 batteries also ensure long-term use. However, should it take much longer, the optional external power supply via USB power bank ensures smooth operation.

You may be wondering whether switching to the new device makes sense. From our point of view, there is a lot to be said for it. The new sensor alone enables a hitherto unknown sensitivity and an even more precise representation of the temperature differences. In addition, both the new user interface and the further improved operation of the device are convincing. These improvements result in noticeable added value in practice.
