The thermal imaging device has a sophisticated optical and electronically controlled enlargement, which can enlarge up to eightfold. The control is stepless or in 2 x steps. With a frame rate of 50 Hertz, the device is also suitable for tracking fast-moving objects without smudge-like or jerky artefacts appearing on the screen. The detection distance in field conditions for a 1,8 meter by 0,5 meter person is a whopping 1800 meters.

In order to be able to maintain the masking in the event of a short-term interruption, the screen switched off be, whereby no glowing of the display is recognizable. All settings are retained. In order to continue the observation, this only has to be switched on again.

The Pulsar Helion XQ50F is equipped with a recording function equipped, which allows high-resolution photos and videos to be recorded during the observation. The recordings are stored on a memory card, which can be transferred to the PC via the USB cable. Alternatively, the transmission can also take place wirelessly via Wi-Fi.

The housing is IPX7 moisture protected, which allows the device to withstand brief immersion in water without damage. The Power Supply takes place via the built-in battery B-pack with an operating time of around eight hours. This can be supplemented with a second battery (IPS5) if the power runs out. Furthermore, the battery compartments can be equipped with an IPS10 battery as well as with CR123A and AA Mignon cells. To use the batteries, a Container required, which you can purchase separately.

The rangefinder The thermal camera can use the integrated scale to determine the size of objects, such as a deer 170 cm, a boar 70 cm or a hare 30 cm high. The built-in AMOLED display is protected against cold temperatures of up to – 25 ° C, so it does not start up.

The device gets a Remote Control included, which enables complete remote control of the functions. The User interface is extremely user-friendly, which makes it much easier to get started with how it works. Settings and current parameters are indicated by symbols, numbers and letters on the display, these are placed in such a way that the observation is not impaired.
