Description

Pulsar Thermion Duo DXP55

Thermal imaging scope / day sight

multispectral

With the new “Duo” product family, Pulsar represents the era of multispectral optics. With these IFs it is possible to observe thermal activities, whether day or night and it also replaces a full daylight target optics with 4K resolution.

The Thermion Duo DXP55 is that more powerful model of the two rifle scopes. The biggest difference to the DXP50 is the larger objective lens of the digital optics, which is equipped with an F35 millimeter lens instead of an F17 millimeter lens. This also results in a corresponding visible field.

The one used thermal sensor has a razor-sharp resolution of 640 x 580 pixels with a pixel density of 17 micrometers. This Lynrd chipset is the latest generation and is being completed for the first time in Europe. In order to be able to detect heat sources, a sensitivity of 25 microkelvin is available. This allows the finest temperature ranges to be distinguished, allowing the smallest details such as branches or leaves to be distinguished.

A modern one is available for playback AMOLED Screen is used that can display images and videos in HD quality with 1024 x 768 pixels. AMOLED is characterized by a lively and brightly strong color fidelity, which also displays unlit segments in deep black, as it should be. This is one of the biggest advantages in return for the old LCD technology.

Go to the Daylight hunting-Use the digital CMOS chip shows its advantages, displaying everything clearly and sharply with 3840 x 2160 pixels in a rich 4K resolution. Focusing at close range is not necessary because objects in the 10 meter range are already sharp. The switch between day and night use proves to be convenient; you can switch from daylight to thermal imaging technology at any time with a quick press of a button.

The operation is intuitive and comfortable at the same time; the elements are equipped with wing switches that allow settings to be made in any situation. In addition, it doesn't matter whether the user is left or right-handed.

The contrast and image brightness can be adjusted manually. The modern Pulsar algorithm is used for image correction, which automatically filters out errors and smooths out edges.

The two batteries give an operating time of approx 6h. Thanks to the quick-change system, the running time can be increased at any time with a replacement battery, such as the APS2 or APS3.

The built-in VCR can record photos and videos; 16 gigabytes of memory are available internally. A WiFi hotspot can also be set up with the Stream Vision 2 app with up to 4 participants via smartphone or tablet.

The housing is IPX7 certified and can therefore be used safely in any weather situation. It is also extremely solid, absorbing shocks from large calibers.
