A modern design, many technical innovations and a classic 30 mm scope shape. The XM 38 impresses with many features. The fact that it is also of high quality and well thought-out at the same time makes it a particularly recommendable scope in view of the very good price-performance ratio.
Although the XM 38 is the entry-level model of the "38" series, it impresses with a high-quality 12 μm sensor and a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. The F38/1.2 lens enables a detection range of 1700 meters.
Of course, the Thermion does not require any brighteners or lamps and can be used completely autonomously.
The built-in HD-AMOLED display allows a very high contrast and thus continuously high-resolution thermal images. Even on the move, wildlife can be easily identified and tracked. As with all Thermion series, even the smallest details, such as grass and bushes, can be displayed in detail and clearly visible with this scope.
Another highlight is the so-called PIP function (picture-in-picture), which displays the enlarged picture in the middle above the main picture in a separate window. This feature makes tracking and aiming much easier.
The quick start function known from Pulsar enables the riflescope to be put into operation immediately without cumbersome activation. This allows a particularly energy-saving use, since the IF does not have to remain switched on permanently.
Thanks to the well thought-out 3-button operation, it can also be operated very easily and intuitively. The logically structured menu navigation is very easy to learn, so that the ZF can be operated without any problems even in hectic situations.
A choice of eight different color palettes guarantees a perfect customization of the display to the respective observation situation. In addition, the crosshairs can be customized in four different colors (black / white / red / green) as well as scalable ballistics styles.
With five different zeroing profiles and ten adjustable distance coordinates, the scope can be adapted to any situation in a very short time. A particularly important advantage when it comes to changing guns quickly.
Thanks to the high recoil resistance of up to 38 joules, the XM6000 can even be used with large caliber weapons up to .375 H&H, 12 caliber and 9.3 x 64.
With the help of the video and photo function, you can easily record special situations and moments. The 16 GB internal memory enables extensive image material to be recorded in the standard MPEG 4 and JPEG format.
Thanks to the integrated WiFi function, you can easily share your recordings or even stream them in real time to the devices connected to your ZF.
The fact that Pulsar is aimed at professionals with the XM 38 is proven not least by the very high-quality workmanship with the elegant full metal housing and waterproofness according to IPX 7
Thanks to the optional and exchangeable APS2 & APS3 batteries, nothing stands in the way of a particularly long use.
