NUC (Non Uniformity Correction) calibrates the sensitivity of each individual pixel so that the image reproduction of the different heat sources is also displayed with the same brightness with the same heat radiation. This is done automatically by the so-called shutter, which is audible with a "click". Depending on the thermal imaging camera, this correction can also be carried out manually.
