What is a VOx sensor?

A VOx thermal imaging device (VOx stands for Vanadium Oxide) uses vanadium as a raw material, which is rarer and therefore more expensive than silicon, which is used in other thermal devices. VOx is also harder than steel, making it more difficult to process. Vanadium Oxide has better thermal conductivity than an ASi thermal imaging device, allowing photons to pass through the picture tube faster, resulting in higher performance.
