The thermal imaging device was equipped with an uncooled microbolometer sensor type, which was used for the Resolution of 640 x 480 pixels is responsible. The enormous pixel density is 17 micrometers and enables the most detailed image reproduction.

A frame rate of 50 Hz, object tracking is also possible with rapid movements without jerks or even loss.

The zoom offers up to 8 times Magnification, which is implemented by optical and digital components. Magnification is done in 2x zoom increments, or steplessly for finer observations, depending on the occasion.

With the Pulsar Helion XP38 you can create a human-like silhouette of 1,8 meters x 0,5 meters in 1500 meters Detect distance even when the subject is in front of a poorly lit wooded area.

The monitor of the mobile thermal imaging camera switches itself off after a selected time Automatically out. But this can also be prevented. This offers several advantages. For one, the battery life is increased. And on the other hand, the camouflage can be better maintained during a break because the residual light from the eyepiece no longer glows. All other functions are retained, the display can then be quickly switched on again by pressing a button.

The IPX standard defines the water resistance. The XP-38 is adequately protected against the ingress of moisture with IPX7. In concrete terms, this means that the thermal imaging device can withstand any rain shower without damage. Even an unintentional short immersion in the water is no problem.

The thermal imaging camera can record images and videos directly in the device on a memory card record. The recordings can then be transferred directly from the device, via the memory card or via WiFi to the PC or laptop using a USB cable.

A 5,2 ampere-hour lithium-ion battery is included in the scope of delivery. In the maximum power consumption, this lasts for up to 8h in continuous operation. If the battery is low, you can or CR123A lithium or AA mignon batteries can be used for further operation. For this purpose a separately available battery container required.

The integrated one is very useful rangefinder, resolved on a dynamic range scale. Thus, wild animals such as a deer, a hare, or even a boar can be precisely measured.

The effective operation can be at very high and low Temperatures occur. The AMOLED display delivers razor-sharp images down to -25 °C, and the monitor shows no weaknesses even in extreme heat (+50 °C).

The essential functions of the camera can also be accessed via the Remote Control be controlled via app. One scenario would be, for example, setting it up in an inaccessible place in order to still be able to make nightly recordings.

The menu navigation is the same for all Pulsar Helion devices. The functions are intuitive and self-explanatory. Current settings are shown in the display by numbers, letters and illustrations. The menu navigation is displayed semi-transparently on the side, so that you are not distracted by it when observing.
